This 4-day Sapa golf tour from Hanoi pairs one round at Sapa Grand Golf Course with a full free day in Sa Pa for the Fansipan cable car and the hill villages. You stay three nights at Silk Path Grand Sapa Resort & Spa, with private transfers throughout. It is the slower, fuller version of our 3-day trip.
Overview
Sapa Golf Tour Itinerary: 4 Days
Your driver meets you at Noi Bai Airport or your Hanoi hotel for the private transfer to Sa Pa, about 4.5–5 hours on the Noi Bai–Lao Cai expressway. Check in at Silk Path Grand Sapa Resort & Spa and take the first evening slowly; the town square is a short walk from the hotel. Overnight in Sa Pa.
Golf day. The course is about 33 km down the valley in Bat Xat, so you leave by private car after breakfast. Sapa Grand is an 18-hole, par-71 layout of 6,656 yards, and your caddie and shared buggy are included. You are back at the hotel by evening, with the heated pool and spa waiting. Overnight in Sa Pa.
A full day with nothing fixed. Most guests take the Fansipan cable car up Fansipan, the highest mountain in Vietnam, or walk down to Cat Cat village. Tickets and guides are not included, and we can arrange them on request. Golfers who would rather play again can use this day for a second round at Sapa Grand. Overnight in Sa Pa.
Breakfast and checkout, then the private transfer back to Hanoi, about 4.5–5 hours. Drop-off is at Noi Bai Airport or your Hanoi hotel. Choose a flight that leaves after 20:00, or add a night in Hanoi before flying.
Golf Course Included
This Sapa golf tour is built around the only golf course in the Sa Pa area:
- Sapa Grand Golf Course – About 33 km from Sa Pa town, in Bat Xat, Lao Cai. It has 18 holes, par 71 and 6,656 yards, was designed by IMG and opened in July 2023. The Red River runs to the north-east of the course and rice fields lie to the north-west. A caddie and a shared buggy are mandatory, and both are included.
Because there is a single course, the tour keeps golf to one day and gives the rest of the time to Sa Pa itself.

Recommended Hotel
Three nights make fuller use of the hotel than a short stay does. Silk Path Grand Sapa Resort & Spa has 152 rooms with mountain views on a hilltop in central Sa Pa, and it is the only 5-star resort inside the town. The indoor heated pool and Chi Spa suit the free day, and with four restaurants on site you do not need to plan dinners in advance.

Getting the Most from Four Days
The extra day is the whole point of this Sapa golf tour. On a 3-day trip the round sits between two long drives. Here it has a quiet evening before it and a free day after it, so nobody plays tired and nobody leaves Sa Pa without seeing it.
Three suggestions from our team:
- Play first, sightsee second: Golf on Day 2 keeps Day 3 flexible. If cloud covers Fansipan, you can switch to the villages or the spa without losing the round.
- Check the summit before you buy tickets: Mist and cloud are common in the mountains. Ask the hotel about visibility in the morning before you commit to the cable car.
- Tell us early about a second round: If you want to play again on Day 3, say so when you book, and we will request the tee time together with the first one.
Who Is This Sapa Golf Tour For?
This Sapa golf tour suits golfers travelling with a partner or family who do not play, because Day 3 is a day for everyone. It also suits golfers who dislike rushing: there is no early alarm after the drive up, and no round on a travel day.
If you want golf every day, Sa Pa is the wrong base, since it has one course. Our Hanoi golf packages fit three or four courses into the same four days. If you only have a long weekend, ask us for the 3-day version of this trip.
When Is the Best Time for a 4-Day Sapa Golf Tour?
Sa Pa stays cooler than Hanoi in every season. For this 4-day tour, spring and autumn are generally the easiest months for both the golf day and the Fansipan day. In winter, pack warm clothes for the summit and expect morning mist on the course.
