Yes, you can book golf in Ho Chi Minh City as a visitor, and at several clubs you can do it yourself online. Tan Son Nhat, Vinpearl Golf Léman and Song Be all run booking forms or pages for the public. Weekends are tighter, because members come first at some clubs. Send names, date, preferred tee time, holes and group size, then wait for written confirmation.

Can visitors play golf in Ho Chi Minh City?
Visitors can play every course around Ho Chi Minh City listed here; the difference between them is how much of the tee sheet members get first. Pay-and-play clubs such as Tan Son Nhat and Vinpearl Golf Léman sell tee times to anyone. Member-led clubs such as Vietnam Golf & Country Club and Chau Duc still take visitors, but they keep the best weekend slots for members.

Most clubs publish a way for visitors to book; only Vinpearl Golf publishes full cancellation terms. Where a club does not publish a rule, we say so rather than guess.

You can book direct, through a booking app or through a local operator; the right choice depends on how many rounds you play and who drives you there.

Playing once, at Tan Son Nhat or Léman? Book it yourself. Weekend golf at a member-led club, several courses, or transfers timed around your flight are where local help earns its keep. What should you send when you book?
Send the details the club needs to hold a tee time in one message: names, date, time window, holes, players and any rentals. Song Be’s booking policy lists exactly this. A missing detail means a second email, and in peak season that can cost you the slot.
- Full name of every player, as on the passport.
- Date, plus a preferred tee time and an acceptable window (for example 06:30, anything 06:00–07:30).
- Number of holes: 9, 18, 27 or 36.
- Number of players, and whether a single is willing to be paired.
- Club, shoe or umbrella rental, with left-handed sets flagged.
- Handicaps, if you want the back tees.
- A phone or WhatsApp number that works in Vietnam.

How far ahead should you book?
Book weekend rounds in the dry season as soon as your dates are fixed; weekday rounds in the wet season can wait until the week before. No club in this guide publishes a fixed booking window, so the table below is our recommendation, built around demand rather than rules.

Can you play as a single or a two-ball?
Singles and pairs can usually play, but at weekends they may be joined with other golfers. No club we checked publishes a minimum group size. Song Be’s form takes up to four golfers, and Vinpearl Golf’s rules for its courses set four as the maximum per group and say smaller groups may be paired with another at weekends, on holidays and on busy days.
We normally recommend weekday mornings for solo golfers, and saying so when you book if you would rather not be paired.
Paying, deposits and cancellations
Individual golfers rarely pay a deposit, but late cancellations can cost the full green fee. Vinpearl Golf is the only group in this guide that publishes its terms in detail. Its general terms name its other clubs rather than Léman, so confirm them when you book there.

Payment is flexible at most clubs. Song Be accepts cash, domestic ATM cards, international credit and debit cards and bank transfer, while warning it may refuse a credit card in some cases. On the day: from District 1 to the first tee
For a 06:30 tee time, leave District 1 between about 04:45 and 05:30, depending on the course. Roads are clear before 6am. The worst traffic runs roughly 7 to 9am and 4 to 7pm, so an early start is easier and cooler.

Arrive 30 to 45 minutes early to pay, meet your caddie and use the locker. Vinpearl’s course rules ask players to be on the tee five minutes early, in golf attire; jeans and collarless shirts are for the clubhouse only.
