This Muslim golf package for Phu Quoc keeps you inside one resort system: Vinpearl Golf is five minutes from your room, Eschuri Vung Bau is about 10 minutes down the coast. Direct flights from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore take about two hours, and the island is visa-free for 30 days. More options on our Phu Quoc golf packages page.
Overview
Itinerary
Your driver meets you at Phu Quoc International Airport for the drive of about 50 minutes (34 km) north to Bai Dai. Check in at Vinpearl Resort & Spa. The resort’s buffet restaurants run dedicated halal counters, so dinner on night one is easy.
A short first round after the flight: Vinpearl Golf Phu Quoc is about 2.4 km from the lobby. IMG laid it out on seashore paspalum, par 72 and around 7,040 yards, and the par 3 3rd plays to an island green of roughly 145 yards. Tee off early, finish before the midday heat and Dhuhr.
No golf. VinWonders theme park is under a kilometre from the resort and Vinpearl Safari about 6 km away, so this is the day for children and non-golfing partners. Tickets are not included; we book them if you ask.
Check out and drive 10 to 15 minutes to Eschuri Vung Bau Golf Resort, the island’s newest course. Holes 14 and 15 sit right on the sea, and the full 7,508 yards from the back tees is a long test. After the round it is about 45 minutes (29 km) to the airport, so book an afternoon or evening flight.

605 rooms on Bai Dai, 2.7 km from Vinpearl Golf and under 1 km from VinWonders. Vinpearl publishes a room service menu with halal dishes and halal counters at its buffets. It names no certifying body, so we treat the food as halal-friendly, not certified.

Why one resort, and what that costs you
Phu Quoc is a good fit for Muslim golfers in one specific way: the resort, the closer course and the family attractions sit in the same Vinpearl cluster on Bai Dai, and Vinpearl publishes halal menus for its Phu Quoc resorts. The trade-off is that you are mostly eating in that one system. Outside it, halal food is limited to a small number of Malaysian- and Indian-run restaurants in Duong Dong town, about 35 minutes (22 km) south of the resort.
Prayer on the island
We know of no mosque on Phu Quoc, and Vinpearl does not advertise a prayer room. Guests pray in their rooms; we ask the resort in writing for qibla direction and a prayer mat when we book. Neither golf course has a prayer room, so we set tee times early enough that you are back at the resort for Dhuhr.
Friday and Jumu’ah
Because there is no Friday congregational prayer on the island, many guests arrive on a Saturday and fly out on a Tuesday. If your dates include a Friday, tell us and we will keep that day free of golf.
Ramadan 2027
Ramadan is expected from around 8 February to 9 March 2027, right in Phu Quoc’s dry season. Eschuri is floodlit, so the second round can be moved to an evening tee time after iftar on request. Suhoor and iftar timings at the resort should be confirmed with Vinpearl at booking.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is there a mosque on Phu Quoc? ›
Not that we know of. You pray in your room at the resort, and there is no Jumu’ah on the island, which is why we suggest a Saturday to Tuesday trip.
2. Is the resort food halal-certified? ›
Vinpearl describes its halal dishes as made with halal ingredients but does not name a certifying body, so we cannot call it halal-certified. We call it halal-friendly and tell you exactly what the resort has published.
3. Can we pray at the golf course? ›
There is no prayer room at Vinpearl Golf or Eschuri, and the clubhouses are not halal-certified. Morning tee times get you back to the resort before Dhuhr.
4. Is alcohol included anywhere in the package? ›
No. Nothing in the package includes alcohol, and we request an alcohol-free minibar for your room.
5. Can we play night golf during Ramadan? ›
Yes, at Eschuri, which has floodlights. We book an evening tee time after iftar on request.
6. We are travelling with kids. What can they do? ›
Day 3 is free for VinWonders, under a kilometre from the resort, or Vinpearl Safari about 6 km away. Non-golfers share the room and transfers; ask us for their price.
