What Are the Three Nines at Yen Bai Star Like?
Each nine plays differently, which is the main reason to stay for more than one round. Que, the Cinnamon nine, zigzags through cinnamon and palm trees over the most uneven ground of the three. Co, the Palm nine, is flatter but uses slopes and hazards to make you think about every approach.
Che, the Tea nine, is the widest and the one most golfers remember. It wraps around a large lake, with water crossing some fairways and running beside others. If you only have time for 18 holes, pairing Che with one of the other two gives you both the lake holes and the hill holes.
From the air the layout looks like a string of green islands in the lake, and on the ground it plays hilly: expect elevated tees and sloping greens rather than flat parkland.
How Far Is Yen Bai Star from Hanoi?
About 90 minutes from Noi Bai Airport on the Noi Bai–Lao Cai Expressway, which makes it one of the easier out-of-town rounds from the capital.
