Why not play golf every day if I’m already staying on the course?›
Some guests want exactly that, and we’ll book a third round if you ask. The 2-round pacing is the default because most Montgomerie Links stay-and-play bookings are couples or mixed groups where not everyone plays 18 twice — the free day gives the non-golfing half of the trip somewhere to go, and gives golfers a rest before the closing round.
The honest trade-off: if you’d rather play every day, this itinerary leaves a day on the table. Tell us at booking and we’ll swap the free day for a third round, or point you to a longer, more golf-dense package like our 7 Days 6 Nights package, which covers five rounds across multiple courses.
One note from experience: book the free day as Day 3, not Day 2 — arriving off a flight straight into two rounds back-to-back before any rest tends to show up in the scorecard.
