Quy Nhon has one golf resort with two 18-hole courses, FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon on the Nhon Ly coast, and it is open in 2026: the club is hosting the FLC 25th Anniversary tournament from 22 to 25 October 2026. Plan two or three days, fly into Phu Cat airport 38 minutes away, and come between February and August.

GoGolfVietnam, a local golf tour operator based in Da Nang, added Quy Nhon to its packages in October 2026, and the two FLC courses are the only 18-hole golf in the area. Our course-by-course details for the Ocean and Mountain layouts cover yardages and signature holes.
Is the golf course in Quy Nhon open to visitors in 2026?
Yes. FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon is open to visiting golfers in 2026 and still uses the FLC name. The Vietnamese newspaper Bao Cong Luan reported on 13 October 2026 that the club hosts the final leg of the FLC 25th Anniversary golf series from 22 to 25 October 2026, and the club also staged the 2025 Vietnam National Golf Championship in August 2025.
FLC Group went through well-publicised difficulties from 2022, so it is a fair question. The golf side has kept running under FLC Biscom, the group’s golf management company. The province name changed in 2025 when Binh Dinh merged into Gia Lai, so newer addresses read “Quy Nhon Dong, Gia Lai”.
How do the two Quy Nhon courses play?
Both are seaside courses with sand, wind and big views, but they feel different. The Ocean Course stays low along the beach; the Mountain Course climbs the dunes and pine scrub behind the resort.

Ocean Course. Jack Nicklaus’s design team routed it through natural dunes with the East Sea on one side and mountains on the other. Fourteen holes look at the sea. The wind off the water decides how long it plays, so take an extra club on exposed holes and keep the ball low.
Mountain Course. Schmidt-Curley’s layout has more elevation change, wide fairways and Platinum Paspalum grass. Sixteen holes have sea views, and the higher tees catch more breeze. In our experience it is the more forgiving of the two off the tee and the harder around the greens.
Caddies and shared buggies are compulsory on both courses and included in the green fee, so there is no walking option.
Ocean or Mountain: which should you play if you only have one round?
Play the Ocean Course if you only have one round. It is the original Nicklaus design, the one that won Best New Course at the 2016 Asian Golf Awards and was ranked in GOLF Magazine’s Top 100 Asia-Pacific list in 2023, and it keeps you closest to the water.
Choose the Mountain Course instead if the wind is up or your group has mixed handicaps. Its wider fairways and higher, more sheltered holes make for a more relaxed day, and the views back over the bay are arguably better. With two days, play the Ocean Course first while you are fresh, then the Mountain Course; the order matters less than catching an early tee time on both.
| If you… | Play |
|---|---|
| Have one round and love links golf | Ocean Course |
| Have mixed handicaps in the group | Mountain Course |
| Expect a windy afternoon | Mountain Course, early tee time |
| Have two or three days | Both, then replay your favourite |
How do you get to Quy Nhon for golf?
Fly domestic to Phu Cat (UIH), then drive 38 minutes to the course. Phu Cat has scheduled flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City only; international golfers connect through one of those two cities.
| Route | Time | How |
|---|---|---|
| Phu Cat airport (UIH) → golf course | 38 min | Road |
| Quy Nhon city beach → golf course | 28 min | Road |
| Golf course → Ky Co beach | 14 min | Road |
| Quy Nhon → Nha Trang | 3 h 42 min (219 km) | Road via the North–South expressway |
| Quy Nhon → Da Nang | About 4 h 50 min | Road |
| Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City → Phu Cat | Short domestic flight | Several airlines |

When is the best time to play golf in Quy Nhon?
February to May is the sweet spot: dry, sunny and not yet at peak heat. The dry season runs roughly from March to August; the rains arrive in September or October and last into the new year, with October and November the wettest and stormiest months.
| Months | Conditions | Golf |
|---|---|---|
| Feb–May | Dry, sunny, warm | Best period |
| Jun–Aug | Dry and hottest of the year | Tee off early |
| Sep | Transition, first heavy showers | Keep plans flexible |
| Oct–Nov | Wettest, storm risk | Avoid if you can |
| Dec–Jan | Cooler, lingering showers | Playable between showers |
This is the opposite of Da Nang’s calendar in one useful way: Da Nang’s cooler rainy season (October to March) is its busiest golf period, while Quy Nhon is at its best from late winter into summer. Compare Da Nang’s month-by-month golf weather if you are choosing between the two.
Where should golfers stay in Quy Nhon?
Stay at the resort next to the course if golf is the point, or on the southern beaches if you want more to do. The FLC hotel sits about five minutes from the first tee; the southern Ghenh Rang area is 40–45 minutes away.
Quy Nhon city itself is 28 minutes from the course and has the seafood restaurants and a long beachfront promenade. A typical golf morning from the resort means breakfast at 6, the first tee before 7 and lunch back at the hotel; from the city, add half an hour each way. We normally recommend the resort for a two-day golf trip and the city or the southern coast when non-golfers come along.
How many days do you need, and how do you combine it?
Two or three days covers both courses. With only one resort, Quy Nhon is not a golf-marathon destination, so most golfers pair it with a bigger golf city.
- Quy Nhon only (3–4 days): arrive, play the Ocean Course, then the Mountain Course, and replay your favourite. Our four-day Quy Nhon itinerary with three rounds follows that order.
- Nha Trang + Quy Nhon (6–7 days): 3 h 42 min apart by road, with four courses around Nha Trang. See what Nha Trang’s four courses offer before you plan the drive.
- Da Nang + Quy Nhon (7–8 days): about five hours by road or a connecting flight, with Da Nang’s six clubs for the first half.
GoGolfVietnam plans these combinations as one trip, with transfers between cities and tee times booked before you fly. Browse our Quy Nhon golf trips with both courses built in for the current options.

What is there for non-golfers in Quy Nhon?
Quite a lot, and most of it is near the course. Ky Co beach and the Eo Gio cliff walk are on the same Nhon Ly peninsula, 14 minutes from the clubhouse. Ghenh Rang, the hillside poet’s park south of the city, and the Cham towers of Thap Doi are an easy half-day in town.
Our verdict: is Quy Nhon worth it for golf?
Yes, if you want two serious seaside courses, quiet tee sheets and a beach that is still uncrowded. No, if you want a different course every day. Our guests usually treat Quy Nhon as two or three days added to Nha Trang or Da Nang, and that is how we recommend it.
