How to Make Two Rounds Feel Like a Full Trip
With only two rounds, course order matters more than it does on a week-long trip. The mistake we see most often on short breaks is putting the far course on departure day — a 6am pickup, a rushed round, then straight to the airport. This itinerary does the opposite: Kings Island gets the full middle day, and Long Bien’s proximity to downtown is what makes Day 3 relaxed instead of frantic.
Three things our team tells short-break golfers:
- Fly in on a weekday if you can: Hanoi’s weekend green fees run close to double the weekday rate, and Kings Island is the clearest example. A Thursday–Saturday break usually prices better than Friday–Sunday.
- Cool-season timing: North Vietnam has a real winter. December–February is often grey and cold; spring (March–April) and autumn (October–November) give you warm days and clear visibility over Dong Mo Lake.
