Da Nang Golf Driving Ranges & Indoor Simulators

Last updated: September 2026

Da Nang has practice options at both ends of the day, and the useful split is not between good and bad ranges but between outdoor and indoor. Outdoor ranges close in the evening. One indoor simulator on the beach strip stays open until 2am.

Quick Answer

The two practice facilities we can confirm in detail are Montgomerie Links, with 30 undercover bays plus grass tees, open 6:00am to 9:00pm and charging 200,000 VND (about US$8) per 100 balls for visitors, and the Ba Na Hills Golf Club range, with 18 covered floodlit bays open 6:30am to 6:00pm. For indoor practice, The Bunker Screen Golf at 122 Vo Nguyen Giap sits on the beach hotel strip and is open 8:00am to 2:00am daily, which makes it the only option in the city for late-night or wet-weather sessions. Both Montgomerie and Ba Na Hills rent clubs, so you can practise without bringing your own.

Where can you hit balls in Da Nang?

Five places, and they are not interchangeable. Two sit at championship courses, two are city ranges, and one is indoor.

Facility Area Opening hours Price per 100 balls Bays Club rental Indoor or outdoor

Montgomerie, Ba Na Hills and The Bunker figures come from each operator’s own website as published in September 2026; range pricing is not always dated by the operators, so treat the figures as a guide and confirm at the counter. For Golf DNC and Da Phuoc, third-party listings disagree with each other on bay counts and even on the address, so we have left those cells qualitative rather than print a number we cannot stand behind. Legend Da Nang also has a range at the course; its range page was offline when we checked, so we are not quoting hours or prices for it.

How far is each one from your hotel or the airport?

Closer than most visitors assume, with one exception. Montgomerie Links is 20 minutes from Da Nang International Airport, which makes it the most practical warm-up stop on an arrival day.

  • From the airport (DAD): Montgomerie Links is about 20 minutes. The Ba Na Hills range sits 25 to 30 km out and takes 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic.
  • From the beach strip (Vo Nguyen Giap / My Khe): The Bunker Screen Golf is on Vo Nguyen Giap itself, so for most beachfront hotels it is a walk or a short taxi rather than a drive.
  • From An Thuong: the same applies. The expat and backpacker quarter sits a few blocks back from Vo Nguyen Giap, which puts the indoor simulator within easy reach on foot.
  • From Hoi An: Montgomerie Links is roughly 25 minutes, since it sits on the coastal road between the two cities.

Figures are off-peak estimates. Da Nang traffic thickens between 7:00 and 8:00am and again around 5:00pm, and the airport road is the stretch that feels it most. GoGolfVietnam schedules range sessions either side of those windows for the same reason we schedule tee times that way.

Can you rent clubs, or must you bring your own?

At the two course-attached ranges, yes, confirmed. At the city ranges, ask before you travel.

Montgomerie Links publishes its rental rates: 100,000 VND for a single club, 300,000 VND (about US$12) for a seven-club set, and 220,000 VND for FootJoy shoes, all at visitor rates. That is the clearest rental information of any practice facility in the region, and it means a golfer travelling without clubs can still get a proper session in.

The Ba Na Hills range also rents clubs, and unusually it stocks junior sets as well as adult, which matters if you are travelling with children. The range itself is built for real practice rather than just loosening up: a landing zone of more than 300 yards, eight bunkers, five target greens, a chipping and putting area built to USGA specification, and two teaching studios with a PGA Professional on site. Coaching runs 8:00am to 5:00pm, with sessions outside those hours by appointment.

For Golf DNC and the Da Phuoc range we have not been able to confirm rental from a source we trust, so we would call ahead rather than turn up with empty hands. If you would rather sort equipment once for the whole trip, that is a conversation to have when you book rather than at the range counter.

What about indoor golf when it rains?

The Bunker Screen Golf at 122 Vo Nguyen Giap is the answer, and it is the one facility no other guide to Da Nang practice seems to mention.

It runs GTR simulator technology and is open 8:00am to 2:00am every day. Pricing is published: a 9-hole simulated round is 350,000 VND (about US$14), 18 holes is 500,000 VND (about US$20), simulator driving-range time is 300,000 VND (about US$12) per hour, and the GTR Park and Kids Golf sessions are 250,000 VND. Booking goes through 0905 257 669 or KakaoTalk at bunkergolf2025.

Two things make this genuinely useful rather than a novelty. The first is the wet season: Central Vietnam gets its heaviest rain from September to November, and an outdoor range is a poor bet in that window. The second is the closing time. Every outdoor option in this guide shuts by 9:00pm at the latest, so anything after that hour is indoor or nothing.

If what you actually want is to play a full round once the sun has gone rather than practise, that is a different question, and the courses that keep going after dark are covered separately.

Which range should you use before which round?

Warm up at the course you are about to play, whenever the schedule allows. It is the single most useful thing in this guide.

The reason is that the ball behaves differently at each. Montgomerie Links is coastal, flat and wind-exposed, and its practice bunkers and greens are built to the same specification as the course, so what you learn on the range transfers directly to the first tee. The Ba Na Hills range sits in the foothills, where the ground rises and falls and your usual yardages stop being reliable. Hitting balls on the coast the morning before a mountain round teaches you less than most golfers expect.

Our team plans it this way: range at Montgomerie before a Montgomerie round, range at Ba Na Hills before a Ba Na Hills round. For anyone booking our Montgomerie Links package with accommodation included, the range sits on the same property as the hotel, which removes the excuse entirely.

Two other cases come up often. Arrival-day jet lag, where you land in the afternoon and want to move your body without committing to 18 holes: a city range does the job, and Montgomerie at 20 minutes from the terminal is close enough to fit before check-in. And the late evening after a full round, when the outdoor ranges have closed but you want to work on something you noticed on the back nine: that is the indoor simulator.

If you have not settled which courses you are playing yet, start with which layouts are worth your tee times here, since the practice plan follows from the playing plan rather than the other way round.

How do you book a practice session?

Public ranges generally do not need booking. The indoor simulator does, particularly at night.

For the outdoor ranges you can turn up, pay for a basket and start hitting. Montgomerie takes range enquiries on +84 235 3 941 942, which is worth a call only if you want a specific rental set held or are asking about their monthly unlimited packages. Ba Na Hills is on +84 236 3924 888, and that call is worth making if you want a coaching slot rather than just bay time, since the teaching studios run on appointment.

The Bunker is the one to reserve. Simulator bays are a fixed number and the late hours are the busy ones, so a same-day call to 0905 257 669 or a KakaoTalk message is sensible rather than optional.

If practice is part of a wider trip, we fold it into the itinerary rather than leaving it to chance. GoGolfVietnam arranges range sessions, transfers and tee times together on a trip where the practice time is already scheduled, which mostly matters for getting the timing right around traffic and opening hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is there an indoor golf simulator in Da Nang?
›

Yes. The Bunker Screen Golf at 122 Vo Nguyen Giap, An Hai, runs GTR simulators and is open 8:00am to 2:00am daily. A 9-hole simulated round is 350,000 VND and simulator range time is 300,000 VND per hour.

2. What is the latest you can practise in Da Nang?
›

2:00am, but only indoors. The Bunker Screen Golf is the only facility open past 9:00pm. Montgomerie Links takes its last order at 8:30pm and closes at 9:00pm; the Ba Na Hills range closes at 6:00pm.

3. How much does a bucket of balls cost?
›

At Montgomerie Links, 200,000 VND (about US$8) per 100 balls at visitor rates, with a 20-ball warm-up basket at 60,000 VND and 50 balls at 130,000 VND. Other ranges price in the same broad band, but we would confirm at the counter rather than rely on third-party listings.

4. Can I practise if I did not bring clubs?
›

At Montgomerie Links and Ba Na Hills, yes. Montgomerie rents a seven-club set for 300,000 VND and single clubs for 100,000 VND; Ba Na Hills rents both adult and junior sets. At the city ranges, call ahead.

5. Should I warm up at the course I am playing?
›

Where the schedule allows, yes. Montgomerie’s practice bunkers and greens are built to the same specification as its course, and the Ba Na Hills range sits in the same rolling terrain as the holes. A coastal range is poor preparation for a mountain round.
