Ho Chi Minh City Muslim Golf Itinerary
Your driver meets you at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) and takes you to Hotel Grand Saigon. The Saigon Central Mosque, built in 1935, is a 300-metre walk down Dong Du, so Maghrib on the first evening is easy. We book dinner at one of the halal restaurants nearby; you pay on the night.
About 21 km east in Thu Duc, Vietnam Golf & Country Club was the country’s first 36-hole club: the 1994 West Course is narrow and tree-lined, Lee Trevino’s 1997 East Course has more sand and water. If this day is a Friday, we book the first tee time of the morning so you are back on Dong Du in good time for Jumu’ah, which starts around midday. The drive back is just under an hour.
The longest transfer of the trip: about 35 km and 70 minutes in traffic to Long Thanh Golf Club in Dong Nai, 36 holes by Golfplan on the Hill and Lake courses. Lunch is packed by our team or taken at a halal-friendly stop on the way back, because the clubhouse kitchen is not halal-certified.
Check out after breakfast and play a morning round at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course, 36 holes beside the city airport and about 25–30 minutes from the terminal. Traffic in the city can stretch the drive from District 1 past an hour at peak times, so we leave early. Straight to your flight afterwards.

Hotel Grand Saigon: The 1930 hotel at 8 Dong Khoi, 300 m from the mosque, with a courtyard pool. Dong Du, with its halal restaurants, starts at the corner.
Le Méridien Saigon: A newer riverside hotel with a rooftop saltwater pool, about 750 m (11 minutes on foot) from the mosque, if you prefer a modern room.
Neither hotel advertises a halal-certified kitchen. We ask the hotel to set aside pork-free breakfast choices for your group and confirm this in writing before you travel.

What we arrange, and what we cannot promise
Food is the part to be honest about. Ho Chi Minh City has a small cluster of halal restaurants around Dong Du and the Saigon Central Mosque, and very little elsewhere, which is why this package keeps you in District 1 instead of near a course. None of the golf clubhouses are halal-certified and none has a prayer room, so on golf days we plan Dhuhr around the drive back or a quiet corner you choose, and many guests bring a travel prayer mat. Nothing alcoholic is included anywhere in the package.

- Add The Bluffs Ho Tram: Make it 5 days, 4 nights with two nights by the sea and a round at The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram, about 2–2.5 hours from the city. Halal choices at Ho Tram are fewer, so we plan meals ahead.
- Ramadan 2027: Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027 (subject to moon sighting), in the dry season. On request we book first-light or late-afternoon tee times and arrange iftar near the mosque.

Best Time for a Halal-Friendly Golf Trip to Ho Chi Minh City
December to April is the dry season around Ho Chi Minh City and the most reliable time for golf. In 2027 Ramadan falls inside this window (expected around 8 February to early March), so if you travel then, tell us and we shift tee times to suit fasting. From May to November afternoon storms are common, which suits early starts anyway.

1. Is the food halal-certified?›
Not everything. The golf clubhouses and the hotels on this trip are not halal-certified. We arrange halal-friendly meals at restaurants in the Dong Du area and ask the hotel for pork-free breakfast choices; if a certified restaurant is important to you, tell us and we will book one where available.
2. Can we pray at the golf course?›
There is no prayer room at Vietnam Golf & Country Club, Long Thanh or Tan Son Nhat. Most guests pray at the hotel before leaving, or we stop on the way back for Dhuhr. Bring a travel mat if you have one.
3. What about Friday prayers?›
If a golf day falls on a Friday, we tee off at first light so you are back in District 1 before Jumu’ah at the Saigon Central Mosque, a 4-minute walk from the hotel.
4. Is alcohol served or included?›
No alcohol is included anywhere in the package. Clubhouses do sell drinks, but nothing is ordered on your behalf.
5. We want to come during Ramadan. Is that possible?›
