Sky Lake Golf Package Stay & Play is the only Hanoi package where you sleep, eat and play golf without getting back in the car — two rounds on the Sky Course at Wyndham Sky Lake Resort, about an hour southwest of the city on Van Son Lake. It’s a different rhythm from our standard Hanoi itineraries, built around one property instead of moving hotels each night.
Overview
Why stay and play at Sky Lake
Wyndham Sky Lake Resort sits inside the golf property itself, so the walk from your room to the first tee is shorter than the walk to most hotel breakfast buffets. That on-site setup is rare in Hanoi, where most golf trips mean a hotel downtown and a 45 to 90 minute drive out to the course every morning.
- Course: Sky Course at Sky Lake Resort & Golf Club, designed by Ahn Moon Hwan (Bori Golf Design), opened 2012
- Par 72, around 7,500 yards from the back tees, routed across rolling ground with the limestone hills of Chuong My behind several holes
- The Lake Course next door is longer but members-only, so it is not part of this package and cannot be booked for visitors
- Location: Van Son Lake, Chuong My District, about 45km southwest of central Hanoi
- On-site stay: Wyndham Sky Lake Resort, pool, spa and tennis courts a short walk from the clubhouse
Your 3-Day Itinerary (proposed)
Day 1 – Arrival at Wyndham Sky Lake Resort
Private transfer from central Hanoi (about an hour depending on traffic), check-in, and a free afternoon to use the pool, spa or driving range before dinner on the property.
Day 2 – Round 1, Sky Course
Walk to the clubhouse for your first round. Caddie and buggy are compulsory at Sky Lake and included in the package. Afternoon free for the pool or a spa treatment.
Day 3 – Round 2, Sky Course & departure
Second round on the same course, then check-out and private transfer back to central Hanoi or the airport. Groups adding the Kings Island option would extend this itinerary by a day.

Read More: Isn’t playing the same course twice repetitive?
Why does this package play the Sky Course twice instead of two different layouts?›
Because the second course on the property, the Lake Course, is reserved for members and we can’t get you a tee time there — that’s not a detail we’ll paper over. What you’re actually paying for with this package is the on-site stay, not two different scorecards.
For golfers who specifically want a second, different layout during the same trip, we can add a third round at BRG Kings Island as an extension, with its own transfer. Most groups who book Sky Lake are choosing it for the resort routine, not chasing course variety; if variety matters more to your group than staying put, our 4-day Hanoi itinerary rotates between three different courses instead.
Who This Package Is For
- Golfers who want to unpack once and not think about transfers again until departure day.
- Anyone tired of the 45 to 90 minute drives that come with most Hanoi golf courses and a downtown hotel.
- Couples or small groups where a non-golfer wants a pool and spa day rather than sightseeing between rounds.
- Golfers on a short Hanoi stopover who’d rather play one course well than rush between three in four days, unlike our 5-day multi-course package.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can we book a tee time on the Lake Course instead of, or in addition to, the Sky Course?›
No. The Lake Course at Sky Lake is members-only and we cannot arrange tee times there for visiting golfers. This package plays the Sky Course only.
How far is Sky Lake from central Hanoi or Noi Bai Airport?›
About 45km, close to an hour by car depending on traffic, from central Hanoi. Tell us if you’re arriving straight from Noi Bai and we’ll quote the transfer separately.
Can you add a third round at a different course?›
Yes, BRG Kings Island is the option we’d suggest, as a day extension with its own transfer. Let us know before we send your quote so nights and pricing reflect it.
Is it cheaper to play on a weekday?›
Generally yes. Flagship Hanoi courses tend to price weekday green fees noticeably below weekend rates, so tell us if your dates are flexible and we’ll check what that means for this package.
What’s the price for this package?
We’re finalizing rates with the resort and will confirm once nights, rounds and the Kings Island option are locked in. Request a quote and we’ll come back with current pricing for your dates.
