Overview
Saigon & Ho Tram Golf Itinerary
Your driver meets you at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) and takes you to your hotel in District 1. The evening is free for dinner along Dong Khoi or the river.
A short drive east to Vietnam Golf & Country Club in Thu Duc, the first 36-hole club in Vietnam. Play the West Course, Chen King Shih’s tree-lined par 72 from 1994 that hosted the Vietnam Open in 1995 and 1997, or Lee Trevino’s East Course from 1997, with more bunkers and water.
Check out after breakfast for the drive to the coast, about 2–2.5 hours. After lunch, play your first round at The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram, an 18-hole par 71 of about 7,007 yards that Greg Norman routed over seaside sand dunes rising to around 50 metres. Check in to your Grand Ho Tram resort that evening.
A morning round at The Bluffs, now knowing where the wind and the dunes will push the ball. The par 3 11th plays toward the sea, and the closing stretch includes the course’s longest par 5 at the 16th. The afternoon is free for the beach or the pool.
Breakfast by the sea, then the drive back to Tan Son Nhat International Airport, about 2–2.5 hours. Plan an afternoon or evening flight.

Read More: Why Two Rounds at The Bluffs
One course is not enough for one visit
The Bluffs is the reason most golfers make the drive to Ho Tram, and the dunes play very differently from one day to the next as the wind changes. Staying two nights means the long transfer is done once, you play it twice, and you still have an afternoon on the beach before heading back to Saigon.
Options people add
- One more city round: Add a night in Saigon and play Long Thanh or Tan Son Nhat before you fly.
- Golf and beach only: Skip the city round and spend three nights at Ho Tram instead.
Who Is This Saigon & Ho Tram Golf Package For?
- Golfers who want to play one of Golf Digest’s World 100 courses
- Players who have already played the Saigon courses and want something new
- Couples who want both a city break and a beach resort in one trip
- Groups happy with one longer transfer in exchange for a coastal links-style course

Best Time for Golf in Saigon and Ho Tram
December to April, the dry season, is the best window for this trip: the coast is dry and the course plays firm and fast. From about May to November afternoon storms are more common, so morning tee times at The Bluffs are the safer choice.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How far is The Bluffs Ho Tram from Ho Chi Minh City?›
About 120 km, or roughly 2–2.5 hours by road from District 1. That is why this package moves you to Ho Tram for two nights instead of driving there and back in one day.
2. Is The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram worth the trip?›
It is one of the few Vietnamese courses ranked in Golf Digest’s World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses, and Greg Norman routed it over seaside dunes up to around 50 metres high. For many golfers it is the highlight of a southern Vietnam trip.
3. Which course do I play at Vietnam Golf & Country Club?›
Usually the West Course, the 1994 par 72 by Chen King Shih that hosted the Vietnam Open, or the East Course, Lee Trevino’s 1997 par 72. We confirm which one when we book your tee time.
4. Are caddie and cart included?›
Yes. A caddie and a golf cart are included for all three rounds. Caddie tips are not included.
5. Where do I stay at Ho Tram?›
At The Grand Ho Tram, the resort complex beside The Bluffs: InterContinental Grand Ho Tram or Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach. In Saigon you stay at Hotel Grand Saigon or Le Méridien Saigon.
6. Can I play The Bluffs as a day trip from Saigon?›
It is possible, but it means four to five hours in a car on the same day as your round. Two nights at Ho Tram is more relaxed and lets you play the course twice.
