Itinerary
Pick-up at Noi Bai airport, about 45 minutes (27 km) into the Old Quarter. Check in on Hang Buom street, then walk 550 m to Masjid Al-Noor at 12 Hang Luoc for Maghrib if you land in time.
We put the closest course on Friday on purpose. Long Bien Golf Course is about 20 minutes (8 km) from the hotel, 27 holes across the Red River. Tee off at first light, finish by late morning, and the drive back to Hang Luoc takes around 20 minutes, in time for Friday prayer, which is held around midday.
The long day. Sky Lake sits by Van Son lake, about 42 km south-west, and the drive can run past an hour in traffic. Sky Lake has two 18-hole courses by Ahn Moon Hwan; we book the one that suits your group. Back in town for a late lunch in the Old Quarter.
Check out early for BRG Kings Island Golf Resort, 49 km west on Dong Mo lake, with three courses to choose from. From the clubhouse it is about 1 hour 15 minutes to Noi Bai, so this day works with an evening flight home.

MK Premier on Hang Buom is the closer of the two: 550 m, about seven minutes on foot, to the mosque. The Metropole on Ngo Quyen is the upgrade, a short taxi ride away. Neither hotel publishes a halal-certified kitchen, so we ask for pork-free breakfast options in writing.

The mosque is the reason for the hotel
Masjid Al-Noor at 12 Hang Luoc has served Hanoi’s Muslims since 1890 and is the only mosque in northern Vietnam. Staying on Hang Buom puts it a short walk away for every prayer you are not on the course, which is something an outer-city resort cannot give you.
Food: good in the Old Quarter, thin elsewhere
A small cluster of halal restaurants sits in the Old Quarter, several within a few streets of the mosque, and our team books them for dinner. Out at the courses it is a different story. The clubhouses are not halal-certified and none of the three has a prayer room, so most guests eat breakfast at the hotel, take a light snack on the course and have lunch back in town.
The honest trade-offs
Two of the three courses are an hour or more from the hotel, and Hanoi traffic does not care about tee times. Winter is the other catch: December and January are cool, often grey and misty, and greens play slower. February to April and September to November are the months we recommend.
Ramadan 2027
Ramadan is expected from around 8 February to 9 March 2027, when Hanoi is cool and damp, which makes fasting rounds easier than in the south. Long Bien is floodlit, so an evening round after iftar can be booked on request; Sky Lake and Kings Island do not offer night golf.
